Wolvie's adventure in Texas

We the Bling Bling Chic’s were invited to have a booth out at Texas Motor Speedway for a Road Show with RV’s, Boats, Motorcycles and Cars. We used this event for recruiting new WOW members.
We were out there Saturday & Sunday in May and had a great time. Pictured are in the yellow and then to the right: Patricia Koch, Dennis Kirkpatrick, Suzan Medley, Vicki Redinger, Carol Kirkpatrick, Juanita Winters and on the table is Wolvie!
Thank you for sharing Wolvie and I hope he continues on to the Ride-In, we’ll see him there!

Wolvie's where abouts...
I've had many questions on Wolvie's where abouts. He is now in Minnesota hanging out with the chapter there. It took him awhile to get there, but he had a great time in Texas. We are still waiting for reports and pictures, but I heard he went on a few rides and a sporting event with the ladies there.
You should see some pictures soon.

From Cool Lady Cruisers of Tennessee
He will help me with Easter baskets tonight and then crawl back in his crate for the next piece of his trip.
Sunday Wolvie rode with some of the Scenic City Motorcycle club and the Chattanooga Cool Lady Cruisers. We rode to the top of Monteagle and ate at a little Mexican Restaurant. Spring is just starting to break here so Wolvie was able to enjoy budding trees and newly greening trees from his perch on Susan's RoadKing. He sported his new Cool Lady Cruiser patch for the trip!
We returned through the NW corner of Alabama back to Tennessee--A little cool on top of the mountain but there were no complaints--we were riding in March!!!!
We hope Wolvie enjoys the rest of his trip and look forward to seeing him again in Michigan!

Wolvie goes yachting in SC

After his trek to the base, he took a little tour of the waterfront park and the Marina down town. He took to the water like a duck to a pond, demonstrating his ability to tie sailor's knots and secure a yacht to the dock. He also got in a little sunbathing on deck and directed some brass polishing and deck swabbing by his crew! And once back on land, he made a close inspection of a giant anchor that an old ship left lying around on shore...wow...that must've been a really big boat!
We apologize for the length of his stay here in Beaufort, but we were just trying to show him a good time. We hope that he continues to enjoy his journeys as much as we enjoyed having him here!
Wolvie visits the Marines in SC

Wolvie's Beaufort, S.C. adventures have come to an end, and he is on his way to Tennessee! While he was here, he got to go play on the fighter jets at our Marine Corps Air Station. He was sooooo happy to NOT have to get a G.I. haircut, too! (And instead of a tattoo of the Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor, he got one of his ears pierced instead!)

Wolvies made it South Carolina!
I met with the GA/Lina gals yesterday at a BBQ place in Santee, and got this baby!!!!!
Wolvie was so glad to get out of that box!!! He "wolfed" down some delicious BBQ ribs, pulled pork, and homemade pickles, along with fresh pork skins!!!! And he LOVES Sweet Tea!!!!
Since the weather was so cold, and rainy at times, he was limited to riding in a "cage"....much to his chagrin, he wanted to be on the back of a bike with some Babe!!!!!
As we drove the 2 hours back to Beaufort, Wolvie and I got acquainted.....I heard his tall tales, and can he ever spin some yarns!!!! A member's husband drove 3 of us to the Sweatman's BBQ place in Santee,SC in a big, new, pretty red Chevy Silverado....Wolvie just was content to DRIVE, looking at chics, scenery, and all. Once we returned to Beaufort, as we passed the Marine Corps Air Station, he wanted to get out and fly in one of the FA18 Hornets....I said I would TRY to get him a ride in one....
once we got to my house, he met my 4 dachshunds....and they really wanted to get him down to their level to play...lol..
Anyway, he came in, met the gang, pottied, got some cold drink, and off to bed...where he is STILL sleeping!!! Lazy Cooter.....I said he could "lounge" all day today, and get rested up, for we have some wild times in store for him!!!
Just wanted to update you on Wolvie...we feel so "honored" to meet a distinguished gentleman, and he is so very polite, does NOT talk back, is potty trained, and he is a "cheap date"....the Lowcountry B.R.A.T.S. will show him some good ole Southern hospitality, for sure!!! I am thinking I may send him on to the Tennessee gals next....just know he is in good hands here....lol....Donna...CD Lowcountry BRATS

Wolvie’s Adventures in Augusta Continued
Due to the cold weather and all of the riding around, Wolvie was a tad tired after this and Denise took him home where they found the sun to be shining brightly. Buggs showed Wolvie the goldfish pond and they discovered if they sat very still, the air did not seem so cold. Denise brought out the fishing poles and the two buddies sat and relaxed as they fished.
Two buds fishing.
Not to worry, there were no hooks involved and no animals (real or created and stuffed) were hurt in the forming of this picture.
Wolvie at the goldfish pond. Fresh air, sunshine and the trickle of water flowing down the waterfall. Ahh, what a day.

Wolvie’s Adventures in Augusta Continued

After romping through the store, Wolvie was taken for a peek at the Augusta National Golf course, Augusta’s famous golfcourse. Of course non-members are not allowed inside so Wolvie settled for his photo shoot outside of the fence instead.

This is Wolvie across the street from the National. The water tower says; Augusta Georgia and shows a picture of the famous Old Medical College building, which is an icon on many things.

Wolvie and his new friend, Buggs.
With the two strapped in snugly and safely, Denise headed to the local Shoe Carnival where Wolvie was introduced and allowed to flirt with the ladies and have the run of the store. Buggs opted to wait outside and eat his carrot.
The ladies watched as he climbed on top of the stacked boxes. Wolvie said he liked the view from up there and wished Buggs had joined him because exploring is more fun in pairs

After fun chit-chat, bantering and an interesting interview with Jay Jeffries at news channel 26 in Augusta, Wolvie enjoyed the opportunity to be photographed again. In front of the station, Cheryl obliged Shelby by taking a picture of her and Wolvie.

Wolvie's adventures in Georgia
Wolvie arrived in Harlem, GA - home of Mary Gordon on Friday January 11th. I was surprised when I opened the box and Wolvie popped out. Of course, he was immediately welcomed and plans for his adventures began.
An email was put out to the chapter members and a ride organized for the very next day. We decided we would take Wolvie on a DAM ride. This is something our chapter does two or three times a year. We begin at Strom Thurmond Dam at Clarks Hill Lake and then venture on to other dams in the area. We have three that control the water flow down the Savannah River and provide large lakes for recreation and generate electricity for the surrounding areas. (picture titled Strom Thurmond Dam)
From Strom Thurmond we rode for about 50 miles and came to the Ranger Station/Welcome center at Richard B. Russell Dam.

Wolvie says goodbye to Alabama

This is the last report-- Wolvie is on the way to Atlanta Hope this is what you wanted. We had a great time doing this and actually took Wolvie more place but no pictures.
Wolvie went to the Space and Rocket Center before leaving Huntsville, Al today. With the weather at 74 degrees Wolvie did not want to leave. But had pictures made with the Saturn 5 "coming out his head", standing in front of the Shuttle, and the Space and Rocket sign. Was a nice day to see where lots of space "stuff" is on exhibit and learn more about how important Huntsville is to the Space Age.
We hope to see Wolvie at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in Atlanta Jan 18-20.

Another evening, Wolvie went to the Huntsville Police Department where he was an honorary I.D. Technician. What is an I.D. Technician? Well, it’s someone who examines fingerprints. For 8 long hours, during the wee hours of the morning (yes, Wolvie was out and about on the graveyard shift – when all the bad guys come out) looking at print, after print, after print. Here are a few shots of his night:

Wolvie had a great time in Huntsville. Wolvie learned that in north Alabama, it really is rocket science!
He had a tour around the city upon his arrival. He visited Olde Town Twickenham district as well as our historic downtown. He was able to see homes and gardens suitable for Southern Living magazine. Wolvie got a new appreciation for Alabama. It’s not quite the back-woods redneck rural area that folks make it out to be.
Wolvie spent one day broadening his horizons. He went to the local rabbit rescue habitat where he met many homeless and rescued bunnies. He learned how to control his appetite and make friends with those who would have previously been his dinner.
Here are a couple of pictures of Wolvie with his new friends Ruth and Slidell:

Update from Alabama
Wolvie has been having so much fun and does not want to leave the warm (65) weather yet. I had planned on taking Wolvie to the Space and Rocket Center in the morning and mailing to Atlanta after that. The Cycle World International Motorcycle Show is Jan 18-20 and Wolvie needs to be there. Several of the Steel Magnolias are going over to help the Atlanta group work at that show so we should see Wolvie again.
Pictures to follow soon.

Wolvie's Goodbye Dinner
Wolvie has enjoyed his time in Arizona despite the colder and wetter
than normal conditions. He was sure glad he took in the sun poolside
when he did! Who can visit the southwest and not get a good steak
dinner? Wolvie was sent off well fed after a hearty meal at Hifalutin'
Western Grill in Tucson. Christine and Denise of the Tucson Roadrunners
braved the chilly wind to wish him the best on his way to Alabama and
the care of the Steel Magnolias.

Below is link to pics for Wolvies adventures in Arizona etc.
We have been able to take Wolvie on the monthly ride (photos 1752
entering tank bag, 1753 in tank bag)(1st Sunday of every month so this
month it was Dec. 2). We were just going to go to a nearby town
Suaharita for Vietnamese food (photo 1754), but ended up going all the
way down and into Mexico for Wolvie's cultural enrichment(1755 waking
up in Nogales, Mexico! and 1756 What does Iron Butt mean?!). For
Wolvie's first trip south of the border a Donkey photo was in order
(no. 1757) as was a sip of taquilla with fellow bikers (there to donate
toys to children)..and a little salt and lime (1762). Wolvie had a blast
doing the tourist thing. He even considered buying some fine Mexican
pottery (no. 1765) before he realized we had no saddle bags on this
trip. On the return trip to Tucson we stopped off at Tumacacori Mission
(no. 1768) which is a national historical site. Wolvie confided in us
that he loves national historical sites and parks very much. But as
much as he loves parks he loves to ride! and he reminded us if stayed
too long anywhere that quote
(photo no. 1769). At one point Wolvie was pretty sure he could take off
on his own if he wanted to (no. 1770).
Rather tired from the long trip to Tucson and the full day of riding and
sunshine, Wolvie did not have much energy left to fend of the local
wildlife (no. 1772), though some of the wild ones can become fast
friends (no. 1786).
The next day all Wolvie could do was try to rest and try to see why
everyone was so adament about how Tucson was such a nice place to live.
He was by the pool sipping fruit juice all afternoon! (no. 1795).
After a day of rest and maybe a bit too much sun at one go, Wolvie was
invited on an impromptu ride to the San Xavier Mission just south of
Tucson on the Tohono O'odham Nation (no. 1799). Wolvie really was taken
away with the serenity of the sanctuary (no. 1802 with the virgin Mary)
and (no. 1803 with St. Antonio).
To cap off the day we stopped by a Victory Motorcycle Dealership to
scope out the very new age looking Victory Vision, but it was a much
smaller item that caught his Michigan eye: a maze and blue beauty (no.
1804).
And for kicks Wolvie sat on the back to get an idea of what riding
pinion is all about (no. 1806). He said that for sure the tank bag seat
had a much better view!
I will send the photos numbered here in the next series of emails only
3-4 at a time so each email is not too large.

Wolvie made it to Arizona!!
I have made it to Arizona and Tucson is soooo nice! The Tucson
Roadrunners have treated me well so far. Despite my jet lag, I found
the energy to go on the monthly ride today and it included a trip to
Mexico! I was taking a nap a little bit ago, but I was fading in and
out and I think I overheard them talking about taking me many more
places like a famous mission, riding in a huge toy ride in town, and
something about going for a dip in the pool. I am having my new friends
here send some photos to the blog. I am in good hands though you forgot
my passport, so I have had to apply for one here. I hope it doesn't
cause any trouble that I had to be smuggled back over the border today.
